We've got teachers in our community, who desperately need our support. So if possible, go help voice your opinion as the extra-contagious Delta variant of Covid-19 is running rampant in our community.
In recent days I have been checking in with about 60 families in our community, and four of them were under quarantine, because of one or more members of their household being sick with Covid-19. Thankfully everyone of the families that I reached out to were on the mend, but it should be a reminder to all of to be extra careful.
So please, take precautions. As schools are about to open, we all need to help our children understand the necessity of living life safely in the midst of a COVID pandemic. Even if we do not have a mask mandate the school district and the CDC are strongly encouraging our children to wear masks to school.
For those 12 and over, getting the COVID vaccination is easy. Simply walk in to local pharmacy such as Walgreens or CVS or schedule an appointment online. The sooner, the better. You can see more information about how to get your COVID 19 shot for free in St. Johns County here.
